The village of Beli was once a Roman settlement named 'Caput Insulae' translated as 'the head of the island'. It has been inhabited continuously since then by various peoples who have left their traces here in the history, culture, heritage and in the forests. Here are a few photographs of stone formations, ancient ruins, traces of the past and wildlife that I have discovered.
